Mzansi Actress Simz Ngema expressed her excitement about motherhood and spoke out against society’s stigmatization of mothers. In a note, she criticized the idea that women “lose” value, become unattractive to men, and have their lobola reduced because they have children. She finds this concept crazy, asserting that having a child is the most beautiful thing in the world.

Simz further talked about the benefits of being a mother. You grow so much as a woman, if anything I think it adds value to a woman. The way you see the world changes. You become more driven, more loving, more compassionate and you work harder.

Being a mother pushes you to be better at everything. It fuels the need to pursue your dreams. It’s almost as though someone has opened your eyes to a whole new world and they’ve shown you that you can achieve anything. Ngema is blatantly enjoying motherhood and she also eulogised her son.

I have never felt so blessed in my life, being a mother is the best thing in the world, I’m so in love with this little guy, I feel whole. He has brought joy, peace, happiness and unconditional love to my life. He completes me. Dear woman, whether you have a child or not, you are valuable.
