Petrol Price to DROP at midnight – Good News for Motorists
This is good news for South African motorists. The price of 95 octane petrol will drop by 68 cents per litre at midnight.
The price of diesel will go down by 60 cents per litre, while paraffin will cost 57 cents less per litre, with the single maximum national retail price going down by 76 cents a litre.
The price of 93 octane petrol drops by 69 cents per litre, and the maximum LP gas retail will go down by 92 cents per kilogram.
The department of energy said Mzansi’s fuel prices were adjusted on a monthly basis, informed by international and local factors.
These include the fact that South Africa imports both crude oil and finished products at a price set at international level.
The department said that the main reasons for the fuel price adjustments this month include the rand strengthening against the US dollar.
The prices of petroleum products in the international markets also dropped in line with the lower crude oil prices.
