The man accused of killing Eskom employee Thembisile Yende is expected to appear in the Springs magistrate’s court in Ekurhuleni on Monday.
David Ngwenya, a technician at the power utility, was denied bail last month.
He is accused of murdering Yende after she threatened to report his alleged involvement in a cable-theft syndicate.
Her body was found 10 days after her disappearance at an isolated Eskom substation in Springs, outside Johannesburg.
