Minister of Transport Joe Maswanganyi has briefed the media on developments in the transport industry.

He says next week’s planned taxi strike has been cancelled.Talks between the department and Santaco are set to continue.

He was joined by the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco).

An increased outbreak of taxi-related violence recently resulted in the need fo urgent talks bentween government and the taxi industry.
