Robert Marawa has been on our screens for the longest of time and has won numerous awards along the way. On Saturday the presenter added two more awards to his growing collection when he was honoured as the Best Sports Presenter and for Best Sports Show for his show Marawa Sports Worldwide at The Liberty Awards.
The aim of The Liberty Awards is to promote excellence in radio. “Excellent performance and content rewards listeners for the time that they spend listening to a station or program and compels them to remain tuned-in for longer. It also reinforces the relationship between a station or program and the listener, which ultimately contributes to the sustainability of radio,” shared Rothschild, CEO of the Liberty Radio Awards.

The Television and Radio personality took to social media to share the good news and thank his supporters for having his back: “God is great. Back for only 8 months on Radio. You the BOSSES who listen to the Show have been my strength!! The rest….we will leave for another day!! THANK YOU!!!!”
Last year there was a bit of drama between Robert Marawa and the SABC however he was officially reinstated in August 2018 where he started presenting a sports show that is broadcasted simultaneously on Metro FM (18:00-19:00) and Radio 2000 (18:00-20:00) on Mondays to Fridays.
Robert’s talents can never be ignored and have led to him recently to officially be named as a Nivea Man ambassador. We love seeing hard work and influence paying off.
