She thought she was safe but then then disaster struck.As the thugs were walking away, her brand new Vodaphone Mobi Kicka started ringing. The phone also lit up, revealing its hiding place.

THE thugs didn’t know Sbongile had hidden her phone in her purple panties… until it rang!

So when they robbed her on Friday, she reached into her bra and handed over the R20 she had hidden there.While she was disappointed she had lost her money, she was happy to have saved her phone.

The thugs came running back and Sbongile Mngomezulu (47) from Tambo Section, near Westonaria in Randfontein, Gauteng had to stand there while the three young robbers grabbed the phone.

“Just imagine young boys putting their hands down my underwear,” said Sbongile.

“They just put their hands down there without warning. I nearly fainted. I thought they were going to kill me.”

Sbongile said she watched in despair as the thugs ran away.Bekkersdal police spokeswoman Sergeant Linki Lefakane confirmed the incident.

She said: “A case of armed robbery was registered and an investigation is underway.

“A firearm was allegedly used in the robbery.”
