The legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt believes Oscarine Masuluke deserves to win the Fifa Puskas Award.
Masuluke jets out to England this weekend for the event which will take place in London on Monday night, where he will find out whether he will become the first African, South African and goalkeeper to land the award.
The Baroka goalkeeper, who has been nominated for his overhead kick goal against Orlando Pirates, is facing Arsenal and French striker Olivier Giroud and Venezuelan women’s team player Deyna Castellanos for the award.
Bolt says Masuluke deserves the award.“I’d vote for Oscarine Masuluke. For a goalkeeper to score an overhead kick in stoppage time like that is impressive,” Bolt told Fifa’s website.
