Twitter haters make Thickleeyonce cry at the S.A fashion week
Popular photographer and plus-size model Lesego “Thickleeyonce” Legobane is a sad person.
This after Twitter showed no mercy on the aspiring runway model with memes making the rounds after she made her S.A fashion week appearance on Tuesday.
She expressed her disappointment on social media after an onslaught from twitter followers and on the hate she received following her SA Fashion Week appearance.
“I usually don’t give a f*ck, but tonight, I am sad. On one of my best days, I am sad. For the first time in four years, I cried. I read the comments and cried. It wasn’t the biggest gig I got, but it’s the one that made me happy,” she wrote on Twitter.
She later returned to the platform to insist that she had no regrets about being in the show and slammed suggestions she was looking for attention and cashing in on her weight.
However, a video of her walking on the runway was hammered on Twitter, with users body-shaming her and complaining that she was walking like someone who had just woke up with a heavy hangover.
Thickleeyonce said she did not usually care what people thought but cried after reading the hatred aimed at her.
“I was body positive before the money came. I was obsessed with myself before the money. “The money came because of the self-love. The fact that people believe I wake up wanting to be hated is what weakens me the most. My mother had to clean up my vomit this morning because I cried so much, my stomach turned and I got sick,” she wrote.
