While Lucky Makhavo (42) from Ethafeni, Tembisa near Midrand was thinking of marrying the woman of his dream, she had plans to rob him.

And a week ago, when Lucky came home he found he had been cleaned out. His bed, fridge, groceries and clothes were gone! The woman he knows only as Nombulelo left him with nothing but a broken heart. Lucky told Daily Sun he met Nombulelo about three months ago. “We met at a mall in Joburg and started going out.
“About two months ago she came to visit me and we had a lot of fun,” he said.
But it seems the woman had her eye on Lucky’s furniture.

When Lucky went to work, Nombulelo allegedly called a bakkie to come and collect his stuff. His bed, fridge, food, toiletries and other things were loaded onto the van.
“That woman has ruined my life. She was so humble and she said she was a Christian. “I didn’t think she could do something like this,” he told Daily Sun.
“After everything I’ve done for her I didn’t expect she would be so greedy and steal my stuff.

“I spoiled her.” He said he didn’t want anything to do with her anymore but he wants his stuff back. Tembisa police spokesman Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha said a case of theft has been opened.
