“SINCE I left Generations life has been wonderful!”
Those were the words of Thabiso Mokhethi (31), who played the role of fun-spirited Samuel in the SABC1 soapie. He said the role was a great start for him.
“The soapie gave me the platform to grow and learn new things. I played the role to the best of my abilities. But I left because I wanted to do things that I’m passionate about. I had to follow my dreams,” he said.
He said he also wanted to focus on the company he co-owns with his wife.
“I manage myself and also do events under Living Righteousness Entertainment,” he said.
After he left Generations he hosted a Christian magazine show called Refresh and was appointed Mpumalanga’s tourism ambassador.
“I have proven to myself that through hard work anything is possible. There are many things I still want to achieve in my life. I hope God will give me the chance to produce movies and TV shows.
“Now I am a content producer and scriptwriter for the game show which I host, Ka-Ching,” he said.
Thabiso is the father of two beautiful kids, Thabisamorena (7) and Thaboyamorena (3) and he loves spending time with them.
“I’m enjoying being a father. My family is a blessing. My kids have taught me so much. They showed me that there is more to life than fame, money and hustling.
“In my castle I’m the king and I have my queen, prince and princess,” said Thabiso.
He has been married to Gaaratwe Mokhethi for four years.
“I was friends with her brother before I left Soweto for Wattville in Ekurhuleni. Then I moved back and when I saw her I just knew she was going to be my wife,” he said.
