SuperSport United Sign A Nigerian Player

The 28-year-old, who was previously a target for English Premier League outfit West Ham United, was signed by KuPS last year and impressed during his spell with the club. He scored  five times in his 32 games last season.
SuperSport United have completed the signing of Nigerian defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe, buying him from Finnish side, KuPS.
Now, after SuperSport agreed to a transfer fee with the Finnish club, Eric Tinkler will be hoping to have the player at his disposal as soon as possible as he waits for his work permit.
Tinkler confirmed the signing after beating Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 last night, telling the media, “He has arrived, he arrived yesterday (Tuesday) and he will be joining us. We will release that in a statement.”
The club have been looking to bring in a new centre back as they look to shore up their defence and Egwuekwe is likely to be one of their final transfer moves of the window with Tinkler opting not to make too many changes.
When asked whether he rates the player, he replied with a smile, “Yes, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought him!”
