Jazz Festival at Moretele Park in Pretoria:

This event is for the jazz lovers who are mostly listeners rather than dancers. The annual event sets to offer strictly chilled mature African music vibes with the likes of Duo group Mafikizolo, Stimela, Zahara, Khaya Mthethwa, Malaika, Toya Delazy. Other big names include music legends such as Hugh Masekela, Caiphus Semenya and a big band led by jazz maestro Bra Barney Rachabane. Tickets at Computicket from R250.

Vetkuk, DJ Mahoota and DJ Pepsi’s 12th annual spring day music explosion in Pretoria:

The king of dance music bring their hottest music tour to PTA Bundu Inn with a stellar line up of artists and dj’s featuring Black Coffee, Ralf Gum, Ishmail Abraham, Uhuru, Khuli Chana, AKA, Tbo Touch, Black Motions, Ganyani, DJ Tira, Big Nuz, Mafikizolo, Proffessor, Vinny DA Vinci, Rocco, DJ Zinhle and many more. This music explosion is set to tour all the other provinces with Bloemfontein next in line on September 7. You can get your tickets at computicket for R150 or at the gate, R120. Vip R800. Festive in Spring, Eastrand:

Bahama in Kwa Thema will be hosting a spring celebration gig, where people can come out to enjoy sounds of popular kwaito group Big Nuz, kwaito star Professor hit makers Black motions and Heavy K. DJ Clock will be on the decks sharing the stage with Metro FM DJ’s Vinny Da Vinci, Amon, T-Deep, Naked DJ, Psyfer, Dede and more.

4th annual Tropika Vaal Beach party:

The annual festival will have audience enjoying 18 hours non stop entertainment with two dance floors, three international guests and 50 top local DJ’s and artists. The event that is themed beach party will offer a variety of different genres of music from hip hop, kwaito and house. General Admin costs R150, VIP R350, VVIP R550. Tickets sold at Computicket.

Lucky Dube Rememberance Concert in Newtown Basseline:

The late Lucky Dube’s birthday spawned the idea for the Lucky Dube Band to always remember Lucky in his birthday month by celebrating his musical legacy in the form of a remembrance concert. The show titled “Unite Against Being Divided” will feature Phumi Maduna, Nkulee Dube and Ben Priest and promises to bring to life the inspiring legacy of Lucky and his message of love, peace and unity. Show will start at 20:00pm tickets sold at the door.

Kaya FM spring day at Emerald Casino:

Pack away those winter blues and celebrate Spring Day together on 01 September 2013 at Emerald Resort and Casino! There’ll be amazing performances by Micasa and Muzart! Entrance fee is R50 for adults and R10 for children.

Royal Spring Festival:

Royal Gardens is back with the 2nd installment of the Royal Spring Festival which was inaugurated in 2012. This year the brand has grown and partnered with SABC’s Phalaphala FM. Nestled at the base of the Nandoni Dam is the Sprawling Splendour of the Royal Gardens, one of Limpopo’s best-kept secrets. This is where the music festival will be held with an expected turnout of 10 000-12 000 people. Get ready for performances by the likes of Zahara, Ganyani, Oskido with Candy & Nokwazi (Kalawa Jazmee royalty), Big Nuz, Dr Malinga, Tshepo Tshola and more. SpringFIESTA: It’s a dance-athon at this year’s Spring Fiesta – with over 60 of SA’s finest DJ and artists on a 13 hours of bopping, jiving and swaying on five stages at Wildwaters Complex, Ekurhuleni. One of the headliners to get the party going will be house sensation Dennis Ferrer, back in South Africa after a seven-year break. Nicci Beach will be transformed into We LIVE Hip Hop stage, held down by Sphectacula and DJ Naves. There will be five stages with a hectic line up of musicians such as Khuli Chana, Lulo Café, Micasa, Muzart, Oskido, Black Coffer and many more. It will be a musical choice of your taste buds with music galore. Ticket sales are as follows:
