According to sources, the soapie’s lead actors are unhappy with the treatment they are getting from producers as their contracts were made public this past Tuesday.
And some of them refused to sign. Singer and actress on the show, KBMotsilanyane, who plays Lucilla Vilakazi, is said to be considering not signing her new contract.
Her co-star Peter Sepuma who plays Miles Vilakazi, has also not renewed his contract.
The source went on to reveal the stars are unhappy with how producers treat them.
Our source explained: “Moshidi Motsegoa, who played Naomi Fischer, once had an encounter with the producer in full view of other staffers and walked off set as she is vocal about what she doesn’t agree with.
“People are told to accept what is being offered to them.” When called for comment, KB said: “Can you please speak to Matla as the channel’s publicity head. I can’t
comment.” Boniswa Matshoba from e.tv said: “We can’t divulge information regarding
individual contracts in public. Over the years the Rhythm City production has had open relationships with all actors. “We host regular forums for actors to express any concerns. All matters are discussed and resolved between the cast agents, the production company and actors.”
