Although there were a few technical problems, marketing manager Msizi Mazibuko said listeners gave positive feedback about the frequency and coverage.
“We did receive some complaints from a few listeners who struggled with an unclear signal. But the issue is being addressed,” she said.
The station currently broadcasts in Gauteng and surrounding areas. But Mazibuko said they are in discussions with DStv for it to be added to their audio bouquet. Some of the highlights so far include radio veteran Tim Modise’s interview with former president Thabo Mbeki during his 9-12pm slot last night.
The station was congratulated by ANC spokesman Jackson Mthembu and Khaya FM’s Bob
Mthembu said: “The ANC welcomes a diversity of views within the media environment.
“We wish the new station all the best in their quest to educate, enlighten and entertain audiences. We are particularly pleased that the station is proudly black owned.”
