This was 13 years ago, and since then a second woman has been buried with him!
The 33-year-old from Sebokeng in the Vaal told Daily Sun she was very disappointed that the situation had not been resolved.
“This happened in 2000 and they have since buried the woman’s daughter on top of my father. There are now three people in the grave!
“I went to the Evaton Cemetery offices and they printed out a document which showed that three people had been buried in that grave,’’ she said.
“I don’t know these women. At first I thought it was my father’s wife, but when I saw the name I realised it was a stranger.”
Loni said she has been trying to get answers from the Emfuleni Local Municipality for 10 years with no success.
“They keep telling me the people who worked at the cemetery at the time of those three burials have died,’’ she said.
“But that doesn’t mean the municipality doesn’t have to take responsibility.”
“I feel as if my father is not resting in peace. How can he be when he is sharing his final resting place with strangers?”
Loni said she wanted to erect a tombstone for her father but couldn’t do it until her father was alone in the grave.
“I just want them to do the right thing and exhume the bodies because I will never be at peace knowing my father isn’t,” she said.
Municipal spokesman Klaas Mofomme said they were investigating how three people were buried in the same grave without the first person’s family requesting a reburial.
