THE pastor and his wife agreed they would not have sexual intercource until they had finished baptising members of their church, but he couldn’t hold out that long – he allegedly tried to rape his niece!
The 50-year-old pastor from Dobsonville in Soweto reportedly begged his wife to have sex with him during the two weeks they had to wait, but she wouldn’t budge.
He then allegedly told his 24-year-old niece, who lived with them, to sleep with him because that way no one would find out he was cheating. She said she would think about his proposal, but when she said no, the man wouldn’t believe it.
On Friday the pastor allegedly tried to rape the woman, but she managed to push him away and run out of the house.
She went to a nearby police station and laid a charge of attempted rape. Her uncle was arrested the same day.
Soweto police spokesman Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela confirmed that a case was opened.
He said the suspect appeared briefly in the Protea Magistrates Court yesterday and would be back on Monday.
)Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man from Dobsonville was arrested on Saturday after allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman the previous day. She said she was on her way home from school when the suspect forced her into his shack and raped her. Makhubela confirmed the incident and said the suspect would appear in the Protea Magistrates Court.
