Neo Ramitshana plays the character of Botshelo in the fourteen new episodes of Skeem Saam starting on SABC1 weekly at 20h30 from Thursday 1 August. Botshelo is the new interest in one of the boy’s lives. Audiences met her in the Face of Turf competition; she was one of the top three finalists alongside Rachel and Mapitsi. Her role gets bigger in this series when she meets one of the boys.

Neo was born in Mahikeng in the North West; she matriculated at Midrand High School and went on to study Bcom Law at Midrand Graduate Institute. She is currently working on a project where she will host workshops targeted at job seekers, she says “I will share knowledge on how to excel in an interview situation and guide them on dress codes for interviews and the work environment.neo ramitshana

There are so many young unemployed people who are skilled and qualified, I realized it’s because no one really prepares you for interviews, how to write CVs, motivational letters and most importantly how to sell yourself. I’m also working on other project that will elevate unemployment and help improve the quality of future female leaders.”

She says “Landing a role on Skeem Saam and being appointed Ndalo Media’s Destiny Magazine Marketing Executive is a huge highlight and achievement for me.” Neo’s favourite TV show, she says “for obvious reasons is Skeem Saam, it’s because it’s so real.” She loves Hip Hop, Jonny Depp, who reminds her of Wallet in Skeem Saam, likes Charlize Theron and listens to Metro FM.

Neo’s mother is her inspiration; she says “my mum is my definition of a super woman. She managed to raise three girls all by herself and become one of the few black women to qualify with a Masters in Maritime. My daughter Keamogetse is everything to me, she makes me laugh, and she is my heart!”

Being a homebody, Neo likes to stay home and catch up with loved ones. She enjoys reading the Bible and motivational books; she is currently reading Tony Gaskins’ The Road to Destiny. She wants to continue acting while gracing the covers of national and international magazines, be a motivational speaker, a radio host, a writer and so much more!
