AT LISKEE’S Car Wash, the days of sitting around reading old newspapers and wondering what to do while your car is being washed are over.
Owner Liskee Mabe (35) has taken the idea of the township car wash to a new level. He’s combined it with a hair salon, a shisa nyama . . . and employed beautiful young women in bikinis to wash the cars.
Liskee, who worked in a car wash himself, told Daily Sun that it is the kind of business that has been in the township for as long as he can remember.
“The car wash venues became a meeting place for car owners to hang out,” he said.
Liskee’s business has become a place that reflects the heart and soul of Temba township in Hammanskraal, Tshwane.
It represents the future of kasi car wash business.
He’s very happy that the bikinis are adding excitement to his business.
Dineo Pitsana, one of the women, said: “We started it as an experiment but we had a very successful bikini weekend. We will continue as long as it attracts customers.”
Dineo said she started with her partner, Naome Ratlhogo.
“We recruited ten other women to help with the rush,” she said.
Liskee said: “I’m looking forward to the day when we will be washing Lamborghini Gallardos, Porsche 911s and the latest Audi Q7s,” he said.
