WHENEVER Dimakatso Phaahlane (12) visited her father, she always went home to her mum before sunset.
So when she was late on Sunday, a search party went looking for her.
Hours later searchers and resident Sam Mahlangu (54) spotted a mound of fresh dug earth in her father’s yard.
Dimakatso, of Mafishane in Moloto Village, Mpumalanga, was buried there, less than a metre down.
Mum Stephina (41) said it seemed Dimakatso’s father, Titus Sebothoma (48), wasn’t home, so she went to play with other kids at an abandoned RDP house.
“I called her father. By the time he arrived, a search party including the cops had combed almost the entire village.”
Searchers went to Titus’s house to plan their next move.
That was when neighbour Sam pointed out the pile of soil in the yard.
“I dug and found a leg,” he said. “I called the cops to see. We were all horrified,” said Sam.
Police spokesman Sergeant Gerald Sedibe said two people, aged 16 and 18, were bust. They’ll appear in court today.
