Celebrity couple, Tumi Masemola and Mandla Ngcongwane’s nasty split has made tabloid headlines once again
According to Sunday World Mandla has filed a R2,2million lawsuit against Tumi for allegedly withdrawing money out of their joint bank account.
Tumi and Mandla, who have been together for 16 years are also owners of Black Brain Pictures production company. The company has produced shows such as City Ses’La and Mzansi Magic’s Lockdown.
The report claims that Tumi allegedly withdrew the money unlawfully and resigned from the company they owned. Mandla alleged in court papers that Tumi had apparently spent R700 000 of the money.
“I am entertainer and I want to be known only for that,” Tumi told the paper when asked for comment.
This comes just two months after Sunday Sun reported that the couple were involved in a heated argument, which led to Tumi opening a police case against Mandla
Tumi accused Mandla of smashing her cellphone and damaging her laptop during a heated exchange.
“This is currently with the lawyers. Please respect me, my man, instead of tarnishing my name,” Mandla told the paper at the time.
Police confirmed to the paper that a case had been opened and that Mandla had appeared in court.
