The character Scott Nomvete, a businessman and harem owner of beautiful women comes to an unfriendly end following Luthuli Dlamini’s role getting fired for not coming to work while he was sick.
It is alleged that Generations’ producer Mfundi Mvundla’s wrath against the actor came about when he failed to pitch for shoot because of illness early December last year.
Sunday Sun last year reported how the actor found out about his role ending with a plane crash whilst reading his script.
A Generations insider told Sunday Sun, “He wasn’t well and couldn’t come in, so he failed to show up at work.
“And that is what got him fired. It was as simple as that. When he did come to work, it was a big shock for him to discover that he had been written out of the storyline.
“Everyone else knew but him. He found out by reading the script. No warning or email was issued to him.”
Dlamini has great intentions of taking this up with a fight, he is currently seeking legal advice following the sudden firing.
This is not his first time getting fired off TV. In 2007 his role as Stan Nyathi got the boot after going AWOL on set for the soapie Scandal.
As his role as Scott ends on the popular soapie, Dlamini has greater plans for the road ahead. He is currently shooting his forthcoming movie 360 degrees
