IT WAS all smiles when Jamila Makaula was reunited with her parents, Yoliswa Makaula and Ndikuriho Razizi,
yesterday – thanks to Sun Power.
Jamila was allegedly stolen by her father’s nyatsi.
The story was published yesterday in the People’s Paper.
The one-year-old Jamila was found in Windmill Park, near Boksburg in Ekurhuleni.
Jamila’s parents received a tip-off as to where the woman was.
With the assistance of the Metro Police, the suspect was found with the toddler in Windmill Park and arrested.
Jamila and the suspect were handed to Dawn Park police.
They were taken to the Jeppestown Police Station, where the case of child stealing had been registered seven days ago.
Jamila’s mum and dad said they were happy they had found their daughter.
Yoliswa said: “I couldn’t eat, thinking about my child. Thank God she is alive.”
Jamila’s father, Ndikuriho, said he was happy his daughter was safe. He said: “I had lost hope that we were going to find Jamila because we could not trace the woman. I hope the return of Jamila will also bring peace between me and her mother.
“We will not be together as lovers, but we will have a good relationship for the sake of our daughter.”
