General Manager – Game Lodge in the Garden Route

The candidate will be responsible for meeting profitable standards and motivating his/her team to realize their full potential. We seek a positive enthusiastic candidate who has time and patience to spend ensuring that both the loyal staff and guests are well looked after.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 10-15 years’ experience in a Lodge/Hotel environment with some management duties
• Related industry qualifications needed
• Must be able to manage F & B as well as Reservations
• Must be able to work with various staff members and manage their performance accordingly
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must have knowledge of staff management
• Must be computer literate
• Knowledge of surrounding environment will be advantageous
• Must have contactable references

• Needs to be calm and patient when working with clients
• Be helpful towards our guests as well as staff

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage F & B and Reservations
• Deliver Customer service at the highest level
• Manage all maintenance and house-keeping issues
• Making sure that the staff are doing all of their duties given to them
• Channel the instructions given by management
• Managing and keeping all departments at company standards
• Manage stock takes and the level of stock on hand / needed
• Keeping up to date with the Lodge’s current trends and promotions
• Helping guests with all of their queries and needs
• Interact with our guests and make them feel important and welcome

Salary Structure:

• Basic Salary of R 30 000 per month based on experience
• Live in Accommodation
• Other benefits will be discussed in interview
