Former PSL player’s father dies. The 34-year-old confirmed to SunSport that his father passed away on Tuesday morning after a long illness. Former Black Leopards midfielder, Robert Ngambi, is mourning the death of his father.
Last season, Ngambi was forced to hang up his soccer boots and went back home to Malawi to look after his sick father.
Ngambi’s father died at the age of 76. Ngambi has also played for the now-defunct Platinum Stars winning the Telkom Knockout and MTN8 Cup in 2013. Ngambi, who spent 15 years playing in the top flight in Mzansi is now a businessman at home.
The former Malawian international last played in the DStv Premiership for Lidoda Duvha two seasons ago. Since retiring, Ngambi has been at home looking after his business and father.
In his football career in South Africa, Ngambi only played for Leopards and Stars.
