Sunday Sun has learnt that Soulistic Music is a one-man show.
The label is home to Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Tumelo, DJ Kabila, Shimza and Sai & Ribatone.
But it’s now alleged that Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, focuses on himself only and forgets about his other artists.
A source revealed that Black Coffee and Culoe De Song, real name Culolethu Zulu, are not getting along. This because the We Are One hitmaker never marketed his latest album, Exodus.
“When our peers see the likes of DJ Kabila and Tumelo they’re asked when they’ll be releasing their albums. The answer is always ‘I don’t know’. These guys are scared of Black Coffee.”
Sunday Sun contacted Culoe De Song who dismissed the claims.
“Just because I’m no longer seen with him all the time, now people think we don’t get along,” Culoe said.
DJ Kabila said: “I don’t think I’ll release an album because I’m busy with singles and remix cuts.”
For his part, Black Coffee said: “All Soulistic Music artists have recording agreements entered into by them and the label NOT Black Coffee. Expectations of both parties are clearly outlined in the contract.
