Fire leaves family homeless in Cape Town


Cape Town – A family of three was left homeless when a fire destroyed their home in Macassar early on Saturday morning, a Cape Town official said.

The fire destroyed the family’s backyard dwelling in Malgas street after 00:00, said disaster risk management centre spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes.

The City provided the three with clothing, blankets, food and building materials.

The cause of the fire was being investigated.
