THULANE Mhlanga is a very sad man! The 28-year-old from Tsakane extension 16, Ekurhuleni was supposed to pay lobola this weekend but instead he’ll be burying the mother of his children.
Nthabiseng Dlamini (26) gave birth to their fourth child at Pholosong Hospital last Monday and he proposed to her.
“I told her we should get married as it was long overdue. I had planned to send my family representatives to negotiate lobola this weekend,” he said.

But two days after having her baby, Nthabiseng got sick and was taken back to hospital.
“Last Thursday I called her at the hospital to check on her but she wasn’t answering. I thought she was just resting but I was wrong,” said Thulane.
The next morning she still didn’t answer and he went to the hospital. At the ward where Nthabiseng was previously treated, he was told she had died.
“I blame the hospital for her death. They were negligent and gave her the wrong medication.
“She had been weak since her operation and was in severe pain,” he said.
Steve Mabona of the health department said Nthabiseng was given a Caesarean section after it was found there was foetal distress.
“She gave birth to a healthy baby and was monitored before being discharged two days later. She came back in a critical condition and was treated right away, but died later that day,” he said.
