Enhle Mbali protests in style – #16daysofactivism. We all need to stand against Gender-Based Violence, and actress Enhle Mbali is protesting in style… The Global 16 Days Campaign, launched by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL) and feminists from around the world at the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991, has been used worldwide to call for the elimination of gender-based violence (GBV). It is run annually from November 25 (International Day Against Violence Against Women) to December 10 (International Human Rights Day).
In 2022, the Campaign is continuing its multi-year theme of Ending Femicide. The campaign is also working closely with other CWGL initiatives to build on the previous multi-year theme of ending GBV in the world of work… Enhle Mbali’s form of protest will be her body. The beautiful Mzansi Celeb took to Instagram where she shared the amazing picture above with a heartfelt caption…
Enhle said – #16daysofactivism In the voice of women: “my body is my greatest form of protest, as I am not owned !!! It is beautiful in every form and you cannot tell me what to do with it, or what I have to wear for it to make you comfortable, your abusive nature is not welcome here. I am a being as you are, worthy of respect, as you are, worthy of truth as you are, worthy of protection as the universe intends. I may be covered in your harsh words, lies, wounds and so much more. Here I am, I stand tall in my delicate strength because I AM WOMEN!!! 📸@0723.studio @thickleeyonce. Styled by @essie_apparel make up @makeupgurubongi
Wonderful words from our favourite Mzansi Celeb and we hope more and more celebs of both sexes will join the fight against GBV, especially in South Africa. Here are a few more pictures of Enhle Mbali and the captions she shared on her Instagram…
