Easter Turns BAD for Zion Church Members

Zion Bus Stolen

The Easter weekend ended in a bad note for members of the Zion Church whose bus was stolen in Diepkloof in Soweto.Zion Bus Stolen

At least 30 worshippers, young and old, from the Botswana branch of the church are now stranded in Soweto as they no longer have transport to take them back home. The driver of the bus, Brian Moyo, says he parked the bus at Mangwele Primary School in Diepkloof on Saturday and then the members attended the church and early in the morning was phoned by church members who said they saw somebody moving the bus.

Moyo says the worshippers at the moment are stranded and have appealed to all good citizens of SA to look out for a beige blue striped bus registration number B612 ALV and to report it to the nearest police station. Police say they are aware of the matter but no case has been opened.

Meanwhile, travellers using the Beit Bridge border post and the N1 in Limpopo say they have decided to return to South Africa early to avoid long queues and traffic congestion. Traffic has started picking on the N1 between Musina and Polokwane.

Some of travellers from Zimbabwe say the service at the border is very fast, and on Easter Monday it will be a different story.
