Busy Signal Bulawayo Show Abandoned As Drama Unfolded
This was after Winky D had walked off stage after three songs due to bad sound. The show was abandoned before he could return with the Jamaican star’s performance failing to happen.
Busy Signal did not perform at the Bulawayo leg of his show after a few hooligans threw bottles onto the stage at the City Hall car park on Friday night.
According to prominent and respected journalist, Mduduzi Mathuthu who was at the show, Winky D had complained about the quality of sound.
This resulted in mayhem leading to the premature ending of the show.
Show is over. One or two hooligans shouting ‘asifuni bumbulu’. Bottles raining on stage. It never started really, Winky D on 3rd song.
A frustrated Mathuthu added: You get international artists like Busiswa and Busy Signal coming to your town, you roll out a red carpet of hate and bottle violence.
According to another source, that the show started late did not help the mood of an expectant crowd.Busy Signal is due to perform in Harare on Saturday in the second leg of his tour.
