Kwaito star ‘Sipho Brickz’ Ndlovu, will be sentenced next month in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court.
The State and defence counsel spent the day arguing over what the court should hand down as an appropriate sentence for raping his niece.
The 32-year-old musician was found guilty of rape in July 2017.
He raped his teenage relative at his home Ruimsig home, Joburg in 2013.
The Sweety My Baby hitmaker has already spent two months in custody.
This comes after magistrate John Baloyi denied him bail, saying he was not convinced granting him bail while his sentencing was pending would be in the interests of justice.
Baloyi said Brickz was likely to escape from the country if he was granted bail.
Brickz told the court he lost his passport in 2014 and he had not applied for another one
