Breaking News: Former Bafana bafana And Mamelodi Skipper Teko Modise Signs New PSL Deal!
Cape Town City is the new home for former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Teko ‘The General’ Modise.
Modise parted ways with Sundowns last month, June 26, after the two parties agreed that it was time for the player to move on from the Chloorkop-based club, after six years of donning the Ka Bo Yellow colours.
Following the confirmation of Modise’s departure from the Brazilians, it was subsequently revealed on Soccer Laduma that the 34-year-old and the Mother City-based club were in advanced stages of negotiating a deal to bring The General on board.
As reported by the Siya crew this week, Modise jetted in to Cape Town on Monday, July 12, with Siya sources informing the crew that the player and the club were set to conclude the final stages of a deal.
Now, the Cape Town-based club has confirmed that The General has put pen to paper on a professional contract with the 2016 Telkom Knockout champions, bolstering Head Coach Benni McCarthy’s midfield department alongside the likes of Lyle Lakay and Lebogang Manyama.
“CTCFC is delighted to announce the signing of Teko Modise! The midfielder adds further quality and depth to the squad as we prepare to compete both domestically and in the CAFCC. Teko is determined to bring further success to the club, and become part of the story of the boys in Blue&Gold.
CTCFC family, join us in welcoming Teko to his new home in the City of Cape Town!
