ASTONISHING footage has emerged on social media of Ghana’s jiving pallbearers.
Posted on BBC Africa’s facebook page, the footage shows men snappily dressed in black-and-white matching outfits jiving while they carry a coffin.

Some of their moves are outrageous, like lying down on their backs on the dusty street and waggling their legs and bottoms – while still holding up the coffin.
Leader of the dancing pallbearers, Benjamin Aidoo, explains that they offer dancing as an optional extra to customers who prefer that their funeral’s a funky affair.
Elizabeth Annan opted for the dancing pallbearers’ option when she recently buried her mum.
“These people, when they are taking your beloved one to their final resting place, they also dance. So I decided to give my mother a dancing trip to her maker,” said Elizabeth.
