Cops suspect the men were killed elsewhere and then dumped. A passerby saw the bodies as he was passing and called the police.

Two burnt bodies were found in the veld near Tsakane, Ekurhuleni on Saturday.

Cops are appealing to the public to help them trace the dead men’s relatives.One of the men was wearing blue Uzzi trousers and red underpants.

The other victim had been stripped naked.The men had been strangled and stabbed.

Cops suspect the men were killed on Friday night or early on Saturday.People living nearby went to the scene but didn’t recognise the victims.

A resident told Daily Sun: “So many things happen in this open space.

“Sometimes we see cars parked here but we’re scared to go closer to see what the people are doing.

“This is gruesome.

“It is sad that the families of these men are probably worried sick about where they are. In the meantime they are lying dead in the veld.”

The bodies were taken to the government mortuary in Germiston.Murder cases were opened at Tsakane Police Station.
